This information was first compiled in 1998 when I was starting an ISP and could not find the details I needed on the Internet. In 2008 I decided to share my knowledge in this wiki.

My primary focus is Gentoo Linux, but occasionally I work with Red Hat/CentOS/Scientific Linux, Linux Mint/Debian-derivatives, Arch/Manjaro, or other distributions. My perspective on the Linux distributions I use is here.
